Las Vegas, 15 March 2023 – Poseidon and Combifloat have entered into a cooperation agreement to supply modular jack up barges to North America markets. The alliance combines Poseidon’s second to none barge designs and facilities with Combifloat’s jack up expertise resulting in the best possible proposition for the American market. A new benchmark, in accordance with the Jones Act and USA Made policies, will be set.

Poseidon is known for providing the most extended portfolio of versatile and innovative portable sectional barges in North America typically supplying Bridge, Marine & Dredge Construction Projects. The recently upgraded fabrication facilities in Berne, IN are world class.  Notably, Poseidon is the first domestic sectional barge company to obtain ISO Certification 9001:2015.

Combifloat is specialized in modular jack up barges with a focus on projects that are nearshore, in lakes or around inland water environments the world over. With deep knowledge on jacking systems and their demanding operating environments, Combifloat is able to provide safe and efficient stable working platforms.

Equipment and services

The focus will be on rental and sales of modern jack ups with a capacity of up to 1,100 US Tons. The platforms are USA Made and will be available from stock. Poseidon’s sectional design makes them versatile and easy to deploy. The system is fully automated and amongst the most rapid elevating in their category.
