Bridge Remediation and
Maintenance Support

Supporting remediation and maintenance works on the Weipa Mission Bridge

Weipa Mission Bridge
Marine Access & Bridge Maintenance Support

Australian Barge Hire supplied multiple marine assets to support remediation and maintenance works on the Weipa Mission Bridge across several stages between 2019 and 2021.

Weipa Australian Barge Hire

Sea Lift 6 and Sea Lift 10 provided stable, elevated working platforms alongside the bridge, offering direct deck access to work fronts and supporting safer and more efficient operations over the water.

The jack-up platforms could be elevated to the required working level, providing a fixed and level platform unaffected by tidal movement. Their large deck areas also allowed the equipment and facilities required for the works, including site offices and amenities, to be accommodated directly on the working platform.

Sea Transfer 1, Sea Punt 5 and Sea Punt 6 provided additional marine support throughout the works, with Sea Lift 6 returning in 2021 to support further bridge maintenance.
