Expanding into the United States and Canada
Our Story
Poseidon Jackup was born from a simple idea: bring world-class modular jack-up technology to the United States and do it the right way.
For decades, Combifloat in the Netherlands has been setting the global standard for modular floating and self-elevating platforms. Their innovative systems are trusted around the world for ports, bridges, energy, and offshore construction.
At the same time, Poseidon Barge built a reputation in the United States as the go-to source for sectional barges. With American manufacturing, ISO-certified fabrication, and a nationwide network, Poseidon became a trusted partner to contractors on inland waterways and coastal projects alike.
In April 2026 the MES C733 was launched and christened during a client event, with more units under construction. Numerous clients travelled from all over North America and experienced the smooth jacking during a wonderful day.
Where Innovation
Meets Opportunity
When these two leaders came together, the vision was clear: combine Combifloat’s engineering expertise with Poseidon’s U.S. strength to create a Jones Act–compliant modular jack-up solution for American contractors.
That collaboration became Poseidon Jackup. This is a joint venture also backed by Marine Equipment Solutions (MES), the parent company uniting Poseidon Barge, Rasmussen, Portadam, and Pacific Gulf Wire Rope under one family.
Breaking New Ground
in the U.S.
In September 2025, Poseidon Jackup officially launched, introducing purpose-built jack-up barge systems designed specifically for the North American market. With Jones Act approval, these platforms are not just engineered for performance they’re built, owned, and operated in the U.S., ensuring compliance and reliability from day one.
