At Combifloat, client requirements drive innovation. The modular crane foundation, developed for Lankelma Ltd., is a prime example of how client needs and our engineering ingenuity come together to deliver practical solutions.

We reimagined our proven C-7 locking system — normally used to connect floats — to design and verify a modular crane foundation for the C-5 platform. This versatile system allows the foundation to be locked in place when the crane is needed and easily removed to free up valuable deck space when it’s not.

By combining structural engineering expertise with finite element modeling (FEM), the design was validated to meet all safety and class requirements. This project demonstrates how trusted designs, and creative thinking can create new solutions that enhance flexibility and efficiency.
