While many people were enjoying their summer holidays, our colleagues at Oceanteam Cable Solutions were hard at work supporting cable projects across Europe.

This summer, the team was involved in a wide range of operations. In Italy, they supported a cable spooling campaign, while at our yard in Vlaardingen several cable lengths were received, handled and spooled into onshore storage. To accommodate one of these projects, a dedicated partition ring was designed and fabricated, enabling the safe storage and handling of two separate cable sets within a single storage system.

Another key milestone during the summer period was the commissioning of a complete cable handling spread onboard a project barge in the Netherlands, including three newly built 8Te tilted tensioners and four new Bow Cable Engines (BCEs), for a cable installation project. The scope included equipment installation, testing, functional verification and operational readiness activities, ensuring the spread was fully prepared for offshore operations.

Our newly built 15Te tensioner was also mobilised to support a client project in Poland, where it played a key role in a beach pull operation, helping to bring the export cable safely ashore and contributing to an important project milestone.

These projects demonstrate the versatility of the Oceanteam team and the growing demand for reliable cable logistics and handling solutions. Whether supporting offshore installation campaigns, managing temporary cable storage, providing fully integrated cable handling spreads, or assisting with landfall operations, our colleagues continue to deliver practical solutions wherever they are needed.
