Rotterdam, 11 January 2023 – Combifloat recently concluded the acquisition of Oceanteam Solutions, creating an entry into the offshore cable handling and logistics solutions market. This acquisition enables Combifloat to further enhance its portfolio with an additional brand, offering a broader set of equipment and services dedicated to the offshore renewable and subsea oil & gas market.

Combifloat will rejuvenate Oceanteam Solutions, which has been active in the transportation, storage, and handling of power cables and umbilicals for the offshore energy industry since 2007.

Equipment and services

Oceanteam Solutions currently owns six carousels and ancillary equipment and has its deep-water port and offshore base in Velsen-Noord, the Netherlands.

As part of Combifloat’s strategic entry into the offshore cable market, investment and restructuring plans are being made to further support the industry with tailored equipment and flexible solutions globally.

Oceanteam Solutions has the equipment and project experience to manage projects that involve operational complexity both in the mature North Sea market as well as in new emerging offshore wind markets in North America, the Middle East and the Far East.
