The assembly and disassembly of Combifloat’s modular floating and self-elevating platforms are critical processes that require meticulous planning and execution to ensure safety and efficiency.
The assembly process begins with the transportation of modular components to the project site, where they are carefully unloaded and positioned. Each module is then connected using a robust locking system, forming a stable and secure platform. The jacking system is installed and tested to ensure proper functionality. Throughout this process, it is essential to follow detailed assembly manuals and project-related data books provided by Combifloat to ensure that all components are correctly assembled, commissioned and operational.
Disassembly follows a similar structured approach, where the platform is carefully dismantled into its modular components. This process involves reversing the assembly steps, ensuring that each module is safely disconnected and prepared for transportation. Combifloat recommends the presence of a trained assembly supervisor during both assembly and disassembly to oversee the process and mitigate any risks.
This supervision ensures that all safety protocols are adhered to and that the platform is disassembled without causing damage to the components or the environment. Proper documentation and adherence to the provided disassembly manuals are crucial to maintaining the integrity of the equipment for future use. To support clients in these critical operations, Combifloat offers on-site assistance and training by deploying experienced jacking engineers. These engineers provide hands-on training tailored to the specific project requirements, guiding client personnel through the practical aspects of both assembly and disassembly
They ensure that the Client’s team is proficient in operating the jacking system, managing the modular components, and adhering to safety protocols. This on-the-job training not only enhances the client’s operational capabilities but also ensures that the platform is assembled and disassembled efficiently and safely. By offering this level of support, Combifloat helps Clients build confidence and competence in managing their platforms, ultimately leading to successful project execution.
The Combifloat pontoons offer full customization and can be equipped with many attachments and accessories specifically needed to successfully execute projects. The C-5 series are often used for geotechnical services and inland marine construction works and offer a 15 T/m2 deck strength just like the C-7 and C-9.5 series. All C-5 series components are fully IACS compliant and delivered with individual test certificates.
With highly qualified and specialized in-house engineers, Combifloat offers various engineering services to guide and support clients on operational and environmental matters.
