Recent deployments include projects like Windpark Blauw, where Combifloat delivered C7 equipment—spuds, spudwells, hydraulics, and control systems—for installation on a barge.

Engineering and jacking services were also provided to Mammoet with Combifloat engineers supporting the operations.

These collaborations underscore the platform’s versatility and reliability in offshore renewable energy projects, particularly in inland waters like the IJsselmeer where typical wind installation equipment cannot access.

Combifloat’s bearing spud mode arrangement is a standout feature in marine construction due to its modular engineering and hydraulic precision. It can also be retrofitted on third party barges.

The Combifloat C7 spudwell system is retrofitted to standard barges. It enables secure and stable platform positioning by hydraulically pinning the barge into the seabed, which is essential for operations requiring high load stability and minimal movement—such as lifting, drilling, and piling.

Key Advantages:

  • Hydraulic spud system actively secures the platform to the seabed, enhancing stability.
  • Modular design allows integration with Combifloat and third-party hulls.
  • Load distribution: Vertical loads are absorbed through spud couplings; horizontal forces are managed via reinforced frames.
  • Economic lifting: Enables precise elevation without raising the entire barge.
  • Ideal for heavy-duty tasks like crane operations, drilling, and piling in dynamic marine environments.
