Ideal platforms for bridge, tunnel works
Jack-up platforms can play a crucial role in tunnel and bridge construction, offering a stable and adaptable solution in challenging marine and nearshore environments. Here’s how:
For heavy construction works
The modular C-7 Self-Elevating Platform is the ideal jack-up platform for port and nearshore marine works. The design provides maximum uptime for construction and maintenance of terminals, jetties, ports, breakwaters, bridges, land- and outfalls of cables or pipelines and offshore facilities.
Offering a 400 ton variable deck load capacity and an unparalleled 20mT/m2 deck strength, makes the C-7 the platform of choice for heavy duty marine construction works. It provides a large 520 m2 free deck space. Without obstructions on deck, the deck layout can be fully tailored to client’s mission equipment and operating method. Depending on soil penetration and waves, the platform can cover water depths up to 30 meter, with increases possible in moderate environment.
Safe and efficient lifting, lowering and (re)positioning of the platform is enabled through the central or local controlled jacking system and 4-point mooring system. Redundancy is provided by two independent hydraulic pump sets and manual control of crucial platform functions.
Jack up for the heaviest loads
The largest in its kind; the C-9.5 Platform can take deck loads up to 1000 mT, offers a large deck area of more than 950 square meters with a deckstrength of 20t/m2.
With its standard-length spud legs of 58m deeper waters can be reached, up to 45m, subject to environmental conditions.
The platform has a Central Control System allowing the platform to be lifted and lowered synchronously and is delivered with IACS class notation.
Areas that are hard to reach or landlocked can be serviced in a floating configuration. A barge will be configured from pontoon sections to fit the job site and operational requirements.
The Combifloat pontoons offer full customization and can be equipped with many attachments and accessories specifically needed to successfully execute projects. The C-5 series are often used for geotechnical services and inland marine construction works and offer a 15 T/m2 deck strength just like the C-7 and C-9.5 series. All C-5 series components are fully IACS compliant and delivered with individual test certificates.
With highly qualified and specialized in-house engineers, Combifloat offers various engineering services to guide and support clients on operational and environmental matters.
